Off-the-Record Chat
The Situation
Paul is the CEO of a large manufacturing company and is looking for a private chat tool. He is starting the strategic planning process for the next year and needs to run some ideas by his Chief Strategy Officer, Catherine. Unfortunately, Paul is in Chicago and Catherine is in London, so they can’t speak in person. Paul has a lot of ideas for directions the company can go, ranging from positive situations, like potential acquisition targets, to adverse circumstances, like staff layoffs. He is worried that if the ideas he throws out there get leaked, it will not be good for the reputation of the company. Paul is looking for a secure and private chat option to discuss important business decisions.
The Problem
Paul needs an easy way to communicate scenarios back-and-forth with Catherine without the risk of the ideas being further exposed. He also doesn’t want to go through a lengthy setup process, because the planning process has begun and his team doesn’t have time to waste. He is skeptical about about common encrypted messenger applications since the companies still have access to his businesses data, whether they encrypt it at rest or not.

The Solution
Paul tried looking up software that could provide a truly private conversation, and his search turned up Binfer. Private Chat is one of the features that Binfer offers in their secure communication and file sharing suite.
Paul found out that Binfer uses Direct Device-to-Device data transfer technology, meaning his data goes directly to who he is messaging and never sits on any third-party systems. Paul simply tells Catherine to download Binfer and immediately they can converse. This direct form of communication is the truest form of private chat.
With Binfer, Paul and Catherine can effectively brainstorm appropriate corporate strategy in an off the record, private chat style. Not only can Paul and Catherine communicate privately, they can also share important documents in the same private manner.
